Silver Spire United Church was founded on July 1, 2008, through the unification of three former downtown St. Catharines churches. This spirit of unity is at the heart of our identity. With a current membership of about 250, our average Sunday worship attendance is around 75 people.
When you step into our sanctuary on a Sunday morning, you can feel the vibrant energy as people come together to worship. But our community’s activity extends far beyond Sunday services. Throughout the week, Silver Spire is a hub of life and connection. Our building is a constant buzz of activity with community and church groups meeting, planning, and building relationships.
Every corner of Silver Spire is alive, hosting a diverse array of events and gatherings. From food and arts programs to recovery groups, 2SLGBTQQIA+ support, and Indigenous community meetings, our church is a place where people come together to grow and strengthen the heart of the city.
