Welcome Visitors
One of our church’s priorities is to make visitors feel at home.
Most first-time visitors enter through the front doors on St. Paul Street, though you can use the side entrance from the rear parking lot.
If you have any questions, ask the friendly ushers and greeters at the entrances to the sanctuary. They will give you a bulletin, which includes the order of service and announcements about what’s going on at Silver Spire. You can also pick up our weekly newsletter at the entrances to the church.
-
Parking can be a challenge on Sunday mornings, as the church parking lot has few available spaces. There is a city parking lot on Head St., half a block from the church. Also, there is angle, back-in street parking in front of the church on St. Paul Street.
-
Dress as you feel comfortable. You will see people people in a range of clothing from blue jeans to traditional “Sunday best” outfits. Most of us wear good casual or work appropriate clothing.
-
Activity Bags are available for children during service. Please ask a greeter when you arrive.
-
Bathrooms are located at the St. Paul Street entrance. A baby change table can be found in the accessible washroom.
-
Ask an usher about a hearing enhancement device.
-
The church is wheelchair accessible.
After the service, you are invited to the auditorium for coffee, tea or juice. During the months of July and August, refreshments are served on the front lawn.
If you have any suggestions for how we could make visitors feel more welcome, please contact Rev. Karen Orlandi or the Church Office at (905) 682-8328.
