Worship
We welcome folks of all identities, ages, and spiritual backgrounds. It’s here that we ask the big questions of life, explore progressive ideas, and have conversations that matter.
Our community is our strength, and we cherish being there for life’s significant moments. Silver Spire Church warmly welcomes all generations to gather for baptisms, memorials, weddings, and other special events.
We host services on Christmas Eve and Easter, extending an inclusive invitation to people of all identities and faiths.

Sunday Service
Our Sunday worship service begins at 10:30 am. While our worship style at Silver Spire is fairly traditional, we often break the mold with regular intergenerational services, drama, and guest musicians. Our worship includes a thematic conversation with the children, a sermon or message by the minister, prayers for our community, and hymns. When we serve communion, everyone is welcome to participate. After the service, we gather in the auditorium for coffee, tea, or juice, where we can catch up with friends and meet new people. Everyone is welcome.

Baptisms
The United Church celebrates both infant and adult baptism. At Silver Spire, we warmly welcome all who wish to celebrate the sacrament of baptism. When parents bring their infant to be baptized, they make promises on behalf of the child and themselves to raise their child in the Christian faith.
Baptism is central to our faith as Christians, symbolizing God's great love for each of us who wish to celebrate the sacrament of baptism. Baptism Sundays at Silver Spire are full of joy and thanksgiving. If you would like to speak to our minister about baptism, please email or call the church office.
Funerals
Death is the time to both grieve the loss and celebrate the life of your loved one. At Silver Spire, we believe that the service should honour the deceased and bring comfort to those left behind. Our minister will meet with you to discuss and design a service that is truly meaningful to you, your family and friends.
The ministry personnel of Silver Spire are in a covenantal relationship with the congregation, so funeral and memorial services held in the church sanctuary will normally be conducted by our minister. Our minister is also available to preside over services held in funeral home chapels.
Our Music Director, normally plays for services held in the church sanctuary. Additional details are available upon request.
Receptions can be held following a funeral or memorial service, with catering provided by the United Church Women's organization (UCW) or an outside caterer.
Weddings
Weddings are joyful occasions celebrating the love of two people as they commit their lives to one another. As an inclusive congregation, we welcome members and non-members, as well as same-sex and different-sex couples.
